Desiree Mullan

For thirty years, Desiree Mullan has combined her love of dance with a passion for teaching.
A journey that began at the age of six with the viewing of Swan Lake on tv; she was enrolled at the prestigious Joan Ashton School of Dance and K & L Byrnes Academy. This led to a love affair with the dance profession that has never died and includes:
• Back up dancer for various music video clips including Daddy Cool’s “Eagle Rock” revised edition
• Chorus dancer in the smash hit musical 42nd Street
• Back up singer & performer with Noisework’s “Love vs Money” Album Tour
• Nightclub dancer for Night Moves Entertainment
• Co-choreographer/Dancer for The Copacabana Theatre Restaurant for six years
• Performer with Circus Royale on their 1989 six month South East Asian Tour
After a ten year professional commercial dance career Desiree realised that her passion for teaching was her true calling. Thus began a life-long learning journey with credits including:
• Tap and Jazz Teaching qualifications from the Australasian Dance Association
• BA (Dance) from Western Sydney University (Golden Key Honour Society Member) • Cert IV Dance Teaching & Management - Australian Dance Vision
• Laurel Martyn Classical Dance System Teacher
• Owner & Creative Director of Desiree’s Dance Academy 1998-2015
